A
For the treatment of infections known or suspected in adults and children

What is the inclusion criteria?
A
Adults and paediatrics
Skin and soft tissue infections
Bone and joint infections such as open fractures
Community acquired pneumonia
Post open thoracotomy

Exclusion criteria
A
Hypersensitivity to penicillin based antibiotics
History of severe immediate hypersensitivity reaction
History of jaundice / hepatic impairment due to amoxicillin

Cautions
A
Sever renal impairment - dosage adjustment is required

Form of medicine
A
1000mg / 200mg Injection
500mg / 100mg injection

Dose and frequency
A
> 40kg 1000mg/200mg single dose
<40kg 25mg/5mg per kg
Single dose only for renal impairment
