What is the cerebellum?
It controls the balance in the body (ex. for walking and standing)
What is the optic nerve?
A nerve that sends visual messages from your retina to the optical lobe
What is the optical lobe?
Its a lobe used to form a visual from the information given from the retina
What is the parietal lobe?
It’s responsible for most of the senses, including touch, taste, sight and smell
What is the temporal lobe?
Its used for processing auditory information and forming memories
What is the frontal lobe?
Its used to make voluntary movements, express language and form thoughts. It also gives us the ability to control and self monitor oneself and achieve goals.
What is the medulla oblongata?
Its a part of the brain stem that connects your brain to the spinal cord and rest of your body. It also monitors vital processes such as breathing, heartbeat and blood pressure.
What is the pons?
The pons is the bridge between the spinal cord and the brain. It’s responsible for breathing and circulation.
What is the midbrain?
It controls involuntary actions, such as digestion and heartrate.
What is the spinal cord?
The spinal cord carries signals from your brain to the rest of your body and vice versa. I
What is the Cerebrum?
The cerebrum makes up all 4 of the lobes in the brain.
