How do you do corneal light reflex?
Place light between patients eyes and have them look between your eyes
How do you test pupillary light reflex?
Put hand down center of their face and flash light in their eyes and check same eye and opposite eye.
How do you test cardinal planes of gaze?
Make an H with a bright colored tipped pointer
How do you test for accommodation?
Bring pointer close to nose them move it away and have patient look into the distance
What tests test CN II?
Visual acuity, peripheral vision, pupillary light reflex, ophthalmoscopic exam.
How do you check peripheral vision?
Stand behind patient, tell them to look at a point on the wall, use color tipped pointer, go over head, from left and right, and below.
What tests evaluate CN V?
Inspect muscles, corneal Blink, sensory exam of the face, jaw jerk reflex
