What is Clopidogrel used for?
A
Treatment of ACS- Unstable Angina, NSTEMI and STEMI with Aspirin
To prevent coronary artery occlusion
Secondary prevention of adverse cardiovascular events

What is the Mechanism of Action of Clopidogrel
A
They prevent platelet aggregation and reduce the risk of aerial occlusion by binding irreversible to the Adenosine Diphosphate ( ADP) Receptor on the surface of the platelet. It works independently on the COX pathway unlike Aspirin.
