What is precocious puberty?
When puberty occurs too early, often associated with inappropriate GnRH secretion.
What can lepton deficiency lead to?
Reproductive dysfunction - since a certain amount of adipocyte stores are need to trigger the onset of reproductive function.
What is an ectopic pregnancy?
When the zygote implants inappropriately into the Fallopian tube, can cause serious pain and complications and embryo is never viable.
What is placenta previa?
When the embryo implants too low in the uterus, so the placenta grows over the cervix. Natural birth isn’t possible, so C-section is required.
What is placenta acreta?
When the embryo implants too deeply into the uterus.
What is dysfunctional uterine bleeding?
Irregularity of cycle and period length as well as spotting in between cycles, caused by lack of oestrogen and changes in hormone levels in the menopause.
