what is dental calculus?

What can cause intrinsic staining of the teeth?
necrotic pulp, use of certain medications or high fever while teeth are developing, or with long term smoking or coffee drinking
what can cause extrinsic staining?
usually as a result of coffee, wine, tobacco, and certain beans. or they may be acquired through heavy metals breathed in the work place
what are two underlying medical conditions that could cause halitosis?
liver failure or ketoacidosis
most halitosis can be resolved with good oral hygiene and usually resolves in how many hours?
