Which techniques have SPECIFIC depths of insertion? What are those depths?

A

PSA & IO - 16mm (4mm visible of 20mm-shaft of a short needle)

IA - max. 20-25mm (8-10 mm visible of 32mm-shaft of a long needle)
* math doesn’t add up but that is how it is stated on lecture slide; apparently needle lengths differ and 32mm is “average” length of a needle

  2. CORONOID NOTCH on ant border of ramus (defines height)
  3. INTERNAL OBLIQUE RIDGE on medial surface of mandible close to molars (defines lateral extent)
