biome
an ecosystem on a large scale that covers parts of continents and whole countries
tundra
treeless regions found in the Arctic, where the climate is cold and windy, with little rainfall
taiga (boreal) rainforest
areas of coniferous (evergreen) trees, found at a latitude between 50 degrees and 70 degrees, mostly in the northern hemisphere
Indigenous people
the original people of a region. Some Indigenous groups still live in traditional lifestyles
natural resources
materials found in the environment that are used by humans, including land, water, fossil fuels, biological resources such as timer and fish etc

the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period of time
weather
the day to day atmospheric conditions e.g rainy, sunny, cloudy

a period of geological time from about 2.6 million years ago to present (characterised by the appearance and development of humans)
