Climate Change Flashcards
What is Climate change?
Climate change is a change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular a change apparent to the late 20th century. It is because of the largely increased levels of released carbon dioxide.
What is the evidence that our climate is changing?
In the past 1 million years the pattern of change is very dramatic, in the sense that exactly 1 million years ago the difference between interglacials and glacials was small but through the past 400,000 years the change has been at large regarding temperature in mean.
What do CO2 emissions have to do with Climate change?
In the past, the co2 concentration was very low but that has changed in the 1900’s due to the industrial revolution. CO2 emissions burn more carbon which leads to our climate changing.
