greenhouse effect what is it?
layer of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere that traps heat from our sun, releasing it later keeping our planet warm. Without it our planet would freeze. It keeps it at a sustainable temperature for life.
Green House effect consequences?
we have released to many green house gases into the atmosphere. This means a lot of radiation from the sun is being trapped and overheating our planet. this leads to Ice caps melting and sea level rising. It causes floods and destroys many animals habitats leading them to go extinct. Changing our ecosystems and biodiversity. Extreme weather events are more likely.
global warming
- energy/radiation from the sun warms the earth’s surface
- radiation from the earth’s surface trapped/absorbed by CO2 then re-released
- increases temperature of earth
