What does increased awareness do
It does not force use to embrace the lifestyles of others, but allows to understand and sympathize for those who have been and continue to be oppressed
What is class discrimination
Attitudes, policies that benefit the upper class

Separated hindu’s into groups based on their karma (work) and dharma (duty)
1) Brahmins - teachers and priests
2) Kshatriyas/Rajanyas - government officials, higher ranking positions (derived from warriors, administrative ppl, rulers)

4) Shudras - labouring class

Ie. Women thinks all poor people are stupid
Ie. Thinks all immigrants are illegal and refuse to speak to them
Institutional classism

When classism appears in institutions, laws, policies
in low income neighbourhoods
Ie. Minimal access to healthcare
Ie. Library closes earlier
Emigration
