What is Aponeurosis?
A bundle of connective tissue that forms the end of certain muscles.
What is fusiform
Consists of a belly and can have 1-3 ten dents and an aponeurosis that serve as attachments to the bone (biceps, deltoids)
Triangular
Small fibers of these muscles coverage to end in an aponeurosis.
( trapezius, pectoralis major)
Circular
These muscles consist of round shaped fibers in circling and opening. Can be restricted and enlarged.
( orbicularis oculi, orbicularis oris)
What is the source of energy for muscular activity?
Arteries carry the blood to the muscle
Blood supplies oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorous compounds, glucose and other essential nutrients.
Muscle needs nourishment at all times
Lipids take over when there’s not enough glucose
Waste products- lactic acid and carbon dioxide
Waste is carried away by the veins
