What is Open skills?
externally paced and sporting environment is unpredictable
What is a closed skills?
Performed in a prodictable enviroment and usually self paced
What is a gross skill?
Use of large muscle movements and precision and accuracy isn’t important
What is a fine skill?
Use of small muscle groups and precision and accuracy is important
What is a self paced skill?
Performer controls speed of the skill and when to carry it out
What is an externally paced skill?
Performer has no control of when the skill begins and the pace of the skill
Discrete skill?
Has a clear beginning and end in a short sharp action
What is a continuos skill?
No clear beginning or end and end of one sub routine is the start of another
What is a serial skill?
Discrete skills linked together
What is a low organised skill?
Easily broken down into sub routines
What is a high organised skill?
Hard to break down into sub routines
What is a simple skill?
Limited decision for the performer to process for example jumping
What is complex skill?
Information needed before performing the skill
What does ACEFACE stand for?
A-Asthetically pleasing C-Consistent E-Efficent F-Fluent A-Accurate C-Controlled E-Economical
