- FBG _>126 mg/dL
- 2-h PG _> 200 mg/dL
- A1c _>6.5%
- Class symptoms + rando glucose _>200mg/dL
7 Conditions that alter A1c & glycemia
- Sickle cell disease
- 2nd & 3rd trimester
- Postpartum
- HIV
- Hemodialysis
- Recent blood loss or transfusion,
- EPO therapy

- Overweight or Obesity & at least 1 risk factor (first-degree relative), high risk ethnicity, HTN, Dyslipidemia, etc

> 600 pmol/L(non-fasting) is suggestive of T2DM and dc of insulin therapy . <200pmol/L is suggestive of T1DM
