Q

Why were there 5 kingdoms rather than 2?

A

Scientists now understand how organisms evolve
The system now contains organisms in small groups which have derived from a recent, common ancestor

The kingdoms are based on what the cells of an organism look like

Q

How do scientists work out how closely related two organisms are?

A

The more DNA the 2 organisms have in common, the more recently they have evolved from a common ancestor (MORE CLOSELY RELATED)
