Why is the Yamato clan important
It transformed the Japanese government based on influences from China. They assumed power due to military conquest, intermarriage, and diplomacy. They also set Japan’s first and only dynasty. The clan leaders also elevated their own belief system that featured ancestor worship into a national religion known as Shinto.
Why is the Asuka period significant
They introduced Buddhism into the country

Socio-political power was concentrated and Chinese culture and technology were introduced along with Buddhism becoming the state religion. The imperial government was in the capital city of Nara

It saw the emergence of new sects and schools of Buddhism. It is most known for its cultural impact. The Japanese alphabet was also introduced
