Long Term Potentiation (LTP)

A

A strong burst of electrical stimulation applied to presynaptic neuron which produces an increase in the amplitude (number) of EPSP (excitatory post synaptic potentials) in the postsynaptic nuron synapse remains potentiated for a long period of time
