what is a neutral stimulus?
a stimulus that wouldn’t normaly trigger a response
what is an unconditioned stimlus?
a stimulus that automatically triggers a response
what is an unconditioned response?
the automatic response to the uncondtioned stimulus
what is a conditioned stimulus?
when the neutral stimulus now triggers the response
what is a conditioned response?
the learnt response triggered by the conditioned stimulus
what is high order condtioning?
when a new neutral stimulus is paired with a conditioned response
what is extinction?
when the learnt response is extinguised (CR ——> CS)
what is spontaneous recovery?
when the learnt response has not been fully extinguished
what is one trial learning?
when the UCS and the CS is only learnt and paired once
what is classical conditioning?
a behavioral procedure in which an unconditioned stimulus is paired with a neutral stimulus, creating a conditioned response
