classic evidence: Raine, Buchsbaum and Lacasse (1997) methodology Flashcards
what type of experiment and design was this research?
a quasi-experiment and a matched pairs design
what were the IV and DV?
IV- NGRI DV-the brain differences
what is a basic run down of the research?
raine, buchbaum and lactase wanted to see if there was a criminal behaviour physical difference between criminals and non criminals so we could predict someone to be a criminal before they committed the crime. they focused on criminals who had pleaded not guilty of insanity and also brain scanned non criminals with the same mental illnesses as the murderers to speculate any differences or similarities in the brain.
