What does NCLRT stand for?
National Clandestine Laboratory Response Team
What does CLR SOP stand for?
Clandestine Laboratory Response, Standard Operating Procedure.
What is an unplanned entry?
It’s when you come across a Clan Lab as part of your day to day duties.
What is planned entry?
Knowledge ahead of time which allows time to apply for warrants and to plan their execution.
You must consult with the National Clandestine Lab Response Team before execution.
What is the 90 second rule?
If offenders are moving about in the affected area then the environment must be able to support life. Therefore, it is safe to enter with minimal PPE to extract offenders within a window of 90 seconds.
During an initial entry into a clan lab, what is the recommended police to suspect ratio?
2:1
Who assumes control in the event of a fire?
Fire Service
What is the Hot Zone?
It is the immediate vicinity of the clan lab.
All suspect removed from the area must be decontaminated in the Warm Zone.
Only suitably trained persons wearing the appropriate PPE can enter this zone.
What is the Warm Zone?
It is the processing area.
Decontamination procedures must be completed before leaving this area.
What is the Cold Zone?
It is the outer perimeter of the Clan Lab.
It is the furthest extent that local police staff, media, and associated agencies may assemble.
What is the minimum PPE for the IET (initial entry team)?
Flame retardant overalls Chemical and flame resistant overalls Boots fire resistant gloves Balaclava Police SRBA vest APR's with air filters
