CL-350 Systems (Landing Gear & Brakes) Flashcards
LANDING GEAR & BRAKES
What controls the main landing gear?
Proximity Sensing Electronic Unit (PSEU)
Hydraulically actuated using LEFT hydraulic system.
LANDING GEAR & BRAKES
How is the main landing gear kept in the up position after retraction?
Mechanically locked in the up position (Uplocks) using Left Hydraulic system to raise the gear.
LANDING GEAR & BRAKES
How is the nose landing gear kept in the up and down position?
Mechanically locked up and down.
LANDING GEAR & BRAKES
How is the main gear (MANUALLY RELEASED).
MANUAL RELEASE HANDLE release the unlocks allowing gear to extend via gravity assisted by a separate accumulator in the Right hydraulic system.
LANDING GEAR & BRAKES
How is the nose gear (MANUALLY RELEASED).
The nose gear is extended by gravity with a spring assist.
LANDING GEAR & BRAKES
What conditions are needed for NORMAl braking?
Landing Gear selected down.
Left or right main gear WOW for >5 seconds, or
Wheel spin up of 50 kts.
LANDING GEAR & BRAKES
How many brake accumulators are there?
2
Brake accumulator and the Park/Emergency accumulator.
(Brake Accumulator - Outboard Brakes ((Right Hydraulic))
(Park/Emergency Accumulator - Inboard Brakes ((Left Hydraulic))
6 brake applications with the loss of the left and right hydraulic systems to both inboard and outboard brakes.
LANDING GEAR & BRAKES
What controls NORMAL braking?
Brake Control Unit (BCU)
Brake command from pedal input
Anti skid protection (normal Brakes) down to 10kts
Wheel spin up for spoilers and Thrust Reversers
