#2 system powers the lower rudder PCU. When powering the AUX hydraulic pump some of the fluid moves into the intensifier thus causing fluid migration.

HYDRAULIC Why do we turn on the #2 hydraulic before the PTU and AUX pump?
To prime the system before activation to prevent cavitation.

HYDRAULICS What is the PTU?
Powered by the RIGHT hydraulic system but contained in the LEFT hydraulic system for gear retraction and retraction when you loose the Engine Driven Pump.

Powers the LOWER Rudder PCU and maintains the AUX accumulator (GEAR) pressure between 2500-3350 psi.
