Profile. Steep Turns
Set Up: Stabilize at 200kts, hold heading and altitude
Roll into a 45 degree bank turn, upon reaching 45 degrees increase pitch 2 to 3 degrees and increase power 3%
PM: “thirty degrees to go” , “twenty degrees to go” , “ten degrees to go”
When the PM calls “ten degrees to go” , begin to roll into a 45 degree bank turn the other direction. The transition from one side to the next should be done quickly, no power change is required.
PM: “thirty degrees to go” , “twenty degrees to go” , “ten degrees to go”
Rolling out of the 45 degree bank turn, decrease the pitch and decrease the power by 3%
Profile. Clean Stall
Set up: Hold heading and altitude, reduce power to 45% N1
Recovery: At first indication of stall, apply maximum power
PF “Max power, flaps approach
PM “Vref +10kts”
PF “Flaps up, After takeoff checklist”
Profile. Departure Stall
Set up: Holding altitude, roll into a 10 degree bank turn, reduce power to 45% N1, flaps 15 degrees
Recovery: At first indication of stall, apply maximum power and level the wings
PF “Max power, flaps approach
PM “Vref +10kts”
PF “Flaps up, After takeoff checklist”
Profile. Approach to Landing Stall
Set up: Holding heading and altitude, reduce power to 45% N1, Flaps 35 degrees, gear down
Recovery: At first indication of stall, apply maximum power
PF “Max power, Flaps approach (allow airspeed to recover to Vref minus 10kts before you retract flaps)
PM “Positive rate”
PF “Gear up”
PM “Vref +10kts”
PF “Flaps up, After takeoff checklist
Profile. Unusual Attitude Recovery. Nose High
Recovery: Apply maximum power, roll into a 45 degree bank turn. Allow nose to fall to the horizon, then level the wings and reduce power
Profile. Unusual Attitude Recovery. Nose Low
Recovery: Idle power, level the wings, extend speed brakes, raise nose to the horizon
