North disadvantages
bad military leaders, hard to supply when far away, fighting on unfamiliar territory, cause not as strong as south
South disadvantages
not as many weapons, not industrial, weak economy, lack of railroads, lower population, no government
North advantages
Larger population, industrial, more railroads, wealthy
South advanages
Defending their homes, skilled and effective commanders, United and highly motivated, familiar terrain
