Interrogatories
A
Interrogatories may be served only on another party. Other discovery methods must be used for nonparties.

Venue
A
Venue is proper where:
(i) if all the Ds reside in the same state in which the district is located; and
(ii) the district where a substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to the claim occurred.
**Where you see the Ds living in different states in the fact pattern, remember that the second prong will then be what venue is based off of.

Impleader and Counterclaims
A
Once a 3rd party D is imploded, he may assert permissive and compulsory counterclaims the same as any defendant.
