A system of government where the citizens exercise power by voting.

In parliament, an election is when people vote to pick the members who will make rules and decisions for the country

A politician or party not affiliated with any political party.
What is the Magna Carta?
A 1215 document that limited the powers of the King and established certain legal rights for citizens.

A group of people who share common political ideas and aim to get elected to government positions.

To be head of government in Australia, an to be responsible for leading the country.

The Speaker is responsible for maintaining order in Parliament and overseeing debates.
What is the role of the Sergeant at Arms?
An official responsible for maintaining order and security in Parliament.
