Washington D.C.
This city is normally referred to as Washington, or just D.C (District of Columbia). There is also a US state called Washington so sometimes you have to be clear if you’re talking about the state or the city. Washington D.C. is the capital of the Untited States and this is where you find the White House.
New York City

Miami
Miami is the largest city in Florida and it has a large hispanic population. The heart of the city is called Downtown Miami, but most visitors go to South Beach with its pastel houses and great, long beach. The climate is tropical with warm weather and high humidity in the wet season. Hurricane season starts in June and ends in November
Seattle
It is the largest city in the state of Washington and located on the West Coast. Its most famous landmark is the Space Needle which is an observation tower and where you can also find a restaurant. Seattle is where many big companies like Amazon, Microsoft and Boeing have their origin or their home. Many famous rock band and musicians also come from Seattle, a few examples are Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
Sidney
Sydney is not, contrary to what you may think the capital of Australia. The capital is Canberra. It is the most populous city though. A famous landmark in Sydney is the Opera House.
Melbourne
This is second biggest city in Australia. It is the host city of many sports events such as the Australian Open (tennis), the Australian Grand Prix (motor race) and Melbourne Cup (horse race).
Brisbane
Brisbane is the third largest city in Australia. It has a humid subtropical climate with wet and warm summers and mild winters.
