sylvester cis ma
9 randomised controlled trials involving 700 patients with NMIBC. Resulting in an absolute risk reduction of 20.5% and relative risk reduction of 59%. Therefore BCG is more effective than intravesical chemotherapy in CIS.
overtreatment of cis with cystectomy
Tumour-specific survival rates after immediate RC for CIS are excellent, but as many as 40-50% of patients might be overtreated
