Describe the Common Carotid Arteries
The Common Carotid Arteries are located on either side of the neck. They supply blood to the head, face and neck . They split into Internal Carotid Arteries and External Carotid Arteries
Describe the function of Internal Carotid Arteries
Supplies blood to the brain, eyes and forehead
Describe the function of External Carotid Arteries
They branch into smaller arteries and supply blood to the skin and muscles of the head
Describe the function of the Vertebral Arteries
They are located at the root of the neck and go up to the cranium where they join to from the Basilar Artery
Describe the function of the Basilar Artery
Supplier blood to the cerebellum, pons and inner ear.
Divides into the posterior cerebral artery which supplies the inferior parts of the temporal lobes
