Carby heat - off
Undercarriage - fixed
Flaps - as required

Runway - clear
Go-Around Technique
Carby heat off
Full power
Right rudder
Straight & level attitude
At 65kts retract to 10* flap
Climb attitude
Establish positive rate of climb
At 70kts retract remaining flap
Continue Vy climb 73kts
What position on the runway do we aim to touch down
300 meter or 1000’ markers
Upwind
Take-off callouts (what are they?)
Best rate of climb
300’ checks (what are they?)
At 500’ clear the turn
AOB 15*
Crosswind
Reference point, adjust track for wind
Maintain best rate of climb

Level off at 1000’
Attitude - S&L
Speed - 85 KTS
Power - 2000 rpm (as required to maintain 85 KTS)
Trim for straight and level

Heading - track (adjust for wind)

Spacing - 2/3 up wing strut if runway is on your side. 1/2 up wing strut if runway is on your opposite side.

BUMFISH checks
Abeam threshold. Speed checked, select 10* flap
Turning onto base
Check position in regards to runway (45* of runway)
Carby heat - on
Power - reduce to 1500 rpm
Maintain attitude
Speed checked (below 85 KTS)
20* flap
Attitude - 1/2 ground, 1/2 sky
Descending turn - AOB 25-30*
Trim as required
Base
Heading - track (adjusted for wind)
Attitude - 1/2 ground, 1/2 sky
Descending 350-500 fpm
Speed - 75kts
Trim
Check your position in relation to runway
Adjust profile as required
Base radio call
Final
Established on final no later than 500’
Adjust track for wind
Descent - 350~500’ per min
Aimpoint - 300m marker 1/3 up windscreen
Centreline - in between legs
Airspeed - 70 reducing to 65kts (use power to adjust speed)
Profile - use elevator to correct

Aim point begins to spread around cowling
Reduce power idle
Round out - to S&L flight
Hold off - Eyes @ end of runway
Sinking - slowly raise nose to counteract sink until it is touching end of runway
Touch down - wait, allow the plane to sink, touch the main wheels down first, slowly reduce back pressure once nose wheel is down
