Q

Why are voltmeters placed in parallel?

A

Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law states that voltage is constant in parallel. Voltmeters also require near infinite resistance, in order to minimize interference with the circuit.

Why are ammeters placed in series?

A

Kirchhoff’s Current Law states that current is constant in series. In order to minimize interference, the ammeter must have near infinitesimal resistance and be placed in series, to leave current unaffected.

Q

What is Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law?

A

Q

What is Kirschhoff’s Current Law?

A

The conservation of electric charge implies that at any junction, the sum of currents flowing into that junction is equal to the sum of currents flowing out of it.
I1 + I2 = I3 + I4
