What is circuit switching?
A
when two nodes are connected by dedicated link (physical link) creating availability for transmission of data.

Can other devices be connected?
A
No, once the path is created it is closed off. hence no other nodes can communcate with those nodes in connection

What does circuit switching require?
A
cabling as it is a physical connection

What are the 3 phases of this connection?
A
- connection establishment
- data transmission
- connection termination

What can i think of circuit switching as?
A
connection to telephones (new calls cannot be answered once we’re on call, unless we put the other person on hold)
