Pontine artery (pons)
Distribution: gives branches to walls of cavernous sinus, pituitary gland, and trigeminal ganglion; provides the primary supply to the brain
- internal carotid artery
Distribution: to the cerebral hemispheres except for the occipital lobes
(supplies most of the medial and superior surfaces and the frontal pole)
- anterior cerebral artery
Distribution: to the cerebral arterial circle (of willis)
- anterior communicating artery
Distribution: to most of the lateral surface of the cerebral hemispheres (also supplies temporal pole)
- middle cerebral artery
Distribution: to the cranial meninges and cerebellum
- vertebral artery
Distribution: to the brainstem, cerebellum, and cerebrum
- basilar artery
Distribution: to the interior aspect of the cerebral hemisphere and occipital lobe (supplies the inferior surface and occipital pole)
- posterior cerebral artery
Distribution: to the optic tract, cerebral peduncle, internal capsule, and thalamus
- posterior communicating artery

Opthalmic artery
