Apostolic Succession
The truth that catholic bishops can trace their authority in a direct line back to the apostles.
Archbishop
a bishop of the highest rank that oversees the archdiocese
archdiocese
a larger diocese under the care of an archbishop which has an elevated status over the dioceses in its region.

a bishop or archbishop who has been selected by the pope to become a part of the college of cardinals where they serve as an advisor and papal elector.

a man who assists the mission of the church. A transitional deacon is preparing for priesthood and a permanent deacon is a married man who assists the church by helping the poor and helping at mass.
