Theological virtues
- gifts from god that helps us believe in him, trust in his plan for us and love him as he loves us
Faith- makes it possible for us to belief in go
Hope- sets out vision on the future
Love- makes faith and hope concrete
What are the cardinal virtues and define each one
Cardinal virtues - prudence(helps you be practical and make the right decisions),
justice(courage),
fortitude(giving to God and to each person what is due to them), temperance(keeping a balance in life )
What are the gifts of the Holy Spirit
Wisdom- helps us to see god, ourselves, and others as god sees us
Understanding- helps us make sense out of what we know and believe about god, Jesus, and the church
Courage- empowers us to live out our beliefs, to use our god-given talents bravely, and to reach out to others in loving service.
Knowledge- helps us to know and to be known by god, ourselves, and other in a deeper way
Right judgment- helps us make good decisions and to act on our beliefs
Piety- helps us treat god and everyone and everything god had made with love and respect
Fear of the lord- helps us remain open to the surprising, delightful, loving presence of god
What are the fruits of the Holy Spirit
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, self-control, and chastity
What is the church’s teaching about human teaching
All life is scared from conception until natural death
Why did God make you
To know him, to live him, and to serve him in the world, and to be happy with him forever in heaven
