A
A solvent rises up the paper it carries colours with it and separates them

A
It is used to show that the colouring used in food are listed on the label, it can also be used in drugs and medicine

A
Thin layer chromatography uses a glass plate coated with absorbent materials

What is gas chromatography?
A
Gases are sent through a tube at different speeds and are detected at the end, the results are shown in a peaked graph, the peak is used to work out the retention time of each component
