Dickens is critical of the industrial revolution and the overzealousness (obsession) of money that was a byproduct of the revolution – he was particularly scathing of the idea of Britain being the pinnacle of excellence when it neglected the most vulnerable

Why was Christmas Carol written
A Christmas Carol was written by Dickens in response to the report of children employment commission which covers the dehumanising and exploited conditions children were subjective in Victorian era
Christmas Carol is allegory (deeper meaning)
Tiny Tim plays a fundamental role in the transformation of Scrooge as the relationship could parallel the allegory of the upper classes exploitation of the lower class

Dickens first for a pamphlet to transfer awareness about the plight of the pool. He then turned it into a novella as he was aware that this fictional tails with galvanise more support for the poor as it would fit a larger readership
