What is liturgical worship?
It is a sett plan every week
Catholic mass every week is the same and has a set ritual that is repeated and never changed. However it is someone different each week reading scriptures from the bible .
What is non liturgical worship?
It is not a set plan every week and they do a different service . They can bless animals in there services .
What is private worship?
They do it by themselves in private . It can be anywhere and for a number of different reasons .
What is informal worship ?
An example of this is gospel . No one knows what is going to happen on the day , if it would be in a church it would be classed as informal implying there is no sett structure to it .
What is evangelism?
It is a term used for spreading the word by the way of preaching the gospel.
(It links to the great commission when Jesus told the Christians to spread the word of God)
What is a prayer?
It is a way of communicating with God either silently or through words of praise , thanks giving or confession . Request for gods guidance or help .
What are sett prayers?
Prayers that have been written down and said more than once by more than one person . ( LORDS PRAYER ).
What is a informal prayer?
Prayer that is made up by an individual using his or hers own words .
What is a nonconformist prayer?
An English Protestant who does not conform to the practices established by the Church of England .
Why is prayer important to Christians?
- They believe it is a direct communication with God .
- Helps build a routine
- They believe they can find a sense of peace.
- Believing in fasting helps when asking for something.
What is an arrow prayer?
Something that happens that you haven’t foreseen it.
What does the Lord’s Prayer teach?
- It teaches us that God is always here for us(“Give us today our daily bread”).
- It teaches us he will forgive our sins (“As we forgive those that sin against us “).
- It teaches us he will be with us all of the time (“on earth as in heaven”).
What is a sacrament?
It is an outward sign of inner grace(gift from God).
- It is a visible gift of gods love
- They are symbolic actions.
- Reaffirms that they are a part of the church and have responsibilities .
