What is Private Worship
Private worship is when Christians pray to God by themselves. This can be done by saying prayers or reading the Bible alone

People use public worship because praying in Church with others gives a sense of belonging to a community as well as the opportunity to make friends and strengthen their faith
Give three reasons why Catholics, Orthodox and some Anglican Christians prefer Liturgical worship
- Worshipping with set prayers and set forms helps them to worship God in a familiar way which allows worship to become a part of their lives
- Using old prayers and forms makes them aware of their Christian background
- Using the same prayers and forms of worship allows them to feel a sense of solidarity and belonging
Give three reasons why most Protestants prefer Non Liturgical worship
- Using a more free form of worship helps all people to participate in worship
- It allows worship to include forms people are familiar with such as rock and Gospel music
- It helps connect worship with today’s world

- The person says a few words about how they came to believe in Christ
