How does Anthony Atansi relate Christianity and technology?
He does not think that christianity is holding back technology, he questions it about how we use it, He thinks that christianity could add to the technology, that there’s empty space (like feelings) that we cannot fill up with technology. It does not want to suppress the technological progress but rather thinks that it even helps us in achieving a world that is the good of everyone. They do say that technology should be used in the right way to achieve this and to not strave further away from that goal. However, on the other side he mentioned that embracing our limits and vulnerability is something that we need to do. This is probably what makes it seem the most anti-technoloy. According to him it’s not that we can’t try to treat diseases with our technology, but rather that we should keep in mind how vulnerable we are as human beings and how these limits happen for a reason.
