Nature of god! What does omnipotent mean?
All powerful. God can do anything the power of god is beyond human miracles
What does omniscient mean?
All knowing. God knows everything. Luke’s gospel ‘not even on sparrow is forgotten by god’ (Luke 12:6) Christians take this as a comfort
What does omnipresent mean?
Meaning god is everywhere and simultaneously present
God is said to have no start and no finish god makes things but nothing made god
What is the trinity
One nature with three distinct persons. The father, son and the holy spirt the trinity is regarded as god working in three ways
What does onmi benevolent mean?
All good and all loving. John 3:16 ‘for god so loved the world that he gave’ god sacrificed his only son to die for our sins
What is personal god
God is involved with the universe. We have a relationship with god.
The image of god
Christians believe that god created life to share the world he had created. This shows the special relationship genesis his final and greatest creation.
What is monotheism
This means one god who created the world and everything in it. It’s shows christians that god is the aspects
What is creator
A central belief god is the creator of the universe and everything in it. Not only creates the world but supports and provides for the world. God created the universe out of nothing. Genesis
What is personal relationship
A personal relationship with god. This is called immanence of god. Christians believe that humans need god in their lives to make them complete
What is a steward
Everything belongs to god. We manage the property of our lord. Stewardship reminds humans that creation does not belong to them but humans are to be responsible for the worlds care. We are responsible for creation because we are made in gods image
What is moral conscience
Humans being possess a moral conscience and freedom to choose good or evil genesis 2:17
What is free will
God gave humans the ability to choose whether to follow him and have a relationship with him or to go their separate ways, free will to worship him or not. Augustine believed that’s humans are not programmed but act on the basis of freedom and choice
What is sin
Christianity uses the key concept of sin to explain why there is pain and suffering in the world such as wars. Humans failing have brought sin and death into creation
What is Augustine definition of sin?
Sin is any word or deed or throught against the eternal law
