what are the 3 hypostasise
the father, the son & the holy spirit that are all in one ousia
what is the evidence for incarnation
- Jesus was born of a virgin
- Jesus performed miracles
- Jesus was able to rise from the dead
- Jesus had perfect emotion
- Jesus gave the people many teaching how to live a good life
why is the incarnation important?
- God could experience human suffering so he could understand humans in their suffering
- God had experienced human suffering and was in a good position to judge humans
- it meant Jesus could bring humans back to God through his death (atonement)
why is the crucifixion important?
- because Jesus’ death took the punishment for Adam’s sin of braking God’s law
- Jesus’ death brought humans back to God (his death was atonement)
- it showed Gods grace/ omnibenevolent
- showed God was prepared to go through the ultimate suffering for humans
what is atonement
the belief that Jesus made humans at one with God again after adam’s sin

what was the ascension?
40 days after his resurrection Jesus ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand side of the father. before he told us disciples to spread the gospel to all nations
what was the pentecost?
it was the holy spirit appearing to the disciples 10 days after the ascension as a roaring wind and tounges like flames of fire.
what is the importance of the resurrection?
- proves Jesus was the incarnation
- shows Gods loves humans. that he would beat death for them
- shows all humans that believe in Jesus can have eternal life
- it shows that god has forgiven humans for sin
- it shows that Jesus has brought humans and god back together
why is baptism important?
- it ensures a place in heaven
- follows the example of Jesus and John the baptist
- washes away sin and begins a new life with God
why is eucharist important?
- it remembers the last supper
- reminds of Jesus’ death
- it is a sacrament where god is present
- Catholics believe it is atonement
- Jesus told his followers to do it
- reminder of what Jesus did for mankind
