What do Christians base their beliefs about God on? (4)

Characteristics of God?
- eternal
- omnipresent (he is everywhere)
- infinite (qualities have no limit)
- omnibenevolent
- omnipotent
- omniscient (knows everything)
- creator
- pure and righteous
- the ultimate judge
what denominstions do not believe in the trinity?
Unitarian and Jehovah’s witness denominations believe that Jesus and the Holy spirit are inferior or subordinate to God
Mormons believe the three parts of the trinity are one in will but independent in being

reinforces the belief that death is not the end and that the resurrection is proof of life after death
2 Corinthians 5:10 and what does it show
“We must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ”
reinforces the belief that god will decide the destination of every human’s soul after death and Jesus’ involvement in judgement and will offer every human the opportunity of salvation
Revelations 21:4 and what does it show
“he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no death or mourning or crying or pain”
reinforces the belief that their is no sin, sadness or suffering in heaven
Matthew 10:28 and what does it show
” be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell”
reinforces the idea that unrepentat sinners go to hell after death if they have not accepted God’s offer of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus
It is a place of pain and suffering without God
