Free will defence, evil and suffering have a purpose, evil is a punishment
The free will defence
- Evil is because of the fall
- World was good but Adam and Eve caused evil in the world
3.misuse of human free will causes evil and suffering
Solution:
Not gods fault
Only moral evil
Evil and suffering have a purpose
- Evil helps people learn and grow
- Experienceing suffering ourselves we develop empathy and compassion
Solution:
A bit extremes for an all loving god (all loving god that causes cancer )
Evil is a punishment
- Suffering is needed for balance, without bad there is no good
- Punishment for the original sin
Solution:
Even is evil is a punishment would an all living god punish that hard

A sacred writing e.g for Christian’s the bible
Heaven
The idea of paradise where the souls goes after death if it is free from sin to have an eternal life with god
Hell
Punishment after death for souls that have sinner, often seen as a place of torment or suffering without god
Purgatory
In some Christian a condition or state in which good souls receive spiritual cleansing after death in prep for heaven
How can you be salvated
- Through action
