what are two Christian beliefs about god?
- god is the creator of all things
- there is only one god

- god is omnipotent: he has unlimited power and created the world and everything in it
‘anything is possible with god’ - god is just: god does not support injustice and prejudice, he will judge us all fairly on the day of judgement
what is the trinity?
- the father: the creator of all things
- the son: god in flesh form (jesus), fully human
- the holy spirit: present at all times, influences guides and sustains life on earth
what is the genesis account to the creation of the world?
god created the world in six days and took the seventh day as a rest
what are the fundamental and liberal responses to genesis?
fundamental: the creation of the earth happened exactly how it was described in the bible
liberal: you can interpret the bible as it may not be literally instead a way for us to understand
what is incarnation?
the belief that god took the form of humans through jesus and that he is fully god and fully human
what is the crucifixion and why is it so important?
- Jesus died for the forgiveness of sins
- Jesus died to show that he was fully god and fully man
- god understands human suffering through his son, Jesus
what is Jesus’ resurrection?
where Jesus came back to life 3 days after his crucifixion, it is celebrated on Easter Sunday
why is Jesus’ resurrection important (give a quote)?
- shows how Christian’s will be resurrected as well if they accept Jesus
- shows how there is life after death

what is Jesus ascension?
where Jesus ascended to heaven 40 days after being resurrected, this is celebrated 40 days after Easter Sunday
why is the ascension important (give a quote)?
- shows that Jesus is with god in heaven
- gives Christian’s faith that they can be with god in heaven too

what are the two beliefs about when resurrection will happen?
- some say it will happen soon after death
- some say it will happen on the day of judgement
what are the two beliefs about how you will resurrect back?
- catholic and orthodox say you will physically resurrect
- other Christian’s say that you will spiritually resurrect
how does the belief in resurrection influence Christian’s?
- inspires Christian’s to live their life as god expects
- gives Christian’s hope that they will live a future life with Jesus
what are two beliefs about the afterlife (give a quote)?
- Christian’s will be resurrected and will receive eternal life
- this is a gift from god and depends upon your faith

- salvation through grace: gods grace can save you from sin
- salvation through law: obedience to gods law saves you from sin
- salvation through good deeds: by doing good deeds you are not sinning

- Jesus died to restore the relationship between humans and god
- Jesus took the sins of humanity on himself
