Why does suffering exist?
Suffering is a test of faith to see if you truly believe in God
This is like the bible story of Job who was tested by God to see if he would keep his faith
“Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and struck Job with loathsome sores” Job
Why does God allow suffering?
Suffering is a result of sin and not God
God shares in peoples suffering
Rewards will be given to those who stay faithful
“Though he brings grief, he will show compassion” Lamentations

God is responsible for everything in the world and the universe
Everything God created is good
Humans are special and “made in the image of God” Genesis
How do literal christians view the creation story?
The bible is the literal word of God
If the bible says that God created the world in 6 days then thats the truth
If science says something else, science is wrong
God is omnipotent and could easily do what the story says
