canons, motifs, and unison
how was ‘canon’ used in this piece
the dancers are organised in a straight line on the staircases and they start a canon going from CSR-CSL the canon was used to show how one heart break can have such a domino effect on all other people and areas in your life
how was ‘motif’ used in this piece
motif was sued repeatedly throughout the dance, the male and female lead characters repeatedly come together and help each others head. the intent behind this was to show how the 2 characters will always be there for each other after everything
how was ‘unison’ used in this piece
a group of dancers were resting on their tummies underneath the staircase and the troubled couple are standing on top of the staircase (CS) and when the couples dropped down it triggered a unison dance break with the group of dancers on their tummies. the intent behind this was to show how the couples problems effect all their friends and family around them
