Movements or shapes that have nothing in common with

A short sequence of linked movements

A movement phrase encapsulating an idea that is repeated and developed throughout a dance
Accumulation
When a dancer performs a series of movements and others join in at different times until, all perform in unison

Add in new actions or even subtract. Add in a fall, roll, jump etc. Change the order of actions in a motif
