What are all the 10 chords you have to know?

Base them all off major key signatures and then follow the accidental patterns stated in these cards.
Explain the major triad.
Scale degree numbers: 1, 3, 5
Eg. C, E, G
Explain the major 7th.
Scale degree numbers: 1, 3, 5, 7
Eg. C, E, G, B
This is built on major scale key signatures.
Explain the dominant 7th.
Scale degree numbers: 1, 3, 5, flat7
Eg. C, E, G, Bb
This is borrowed from another key signature.
C - go down 5 scales degrees and you get to F (which has key sig: Bb)
Explain the suspended 4th.
Scale degree numbers: 1, 4, 5

This is built on major scale key signatures.
Explain the augmented triad.
Scale degree numbers: 1, 3, #5
Eg. C, E, G#
Major chord plus a sharpened 5th.
It sounds like a confused or surprised chord.
