Q

Describe the synthesis, storage and release of Ach?

A
  1. ACh leaves the presynaptic vesicle at the synapse.
  2. Then AChE-acetylcholinesterase converts ACh into choline.
  3. There is a reuptake of choline into the presynaptic terminal.
  4. There choline combines with Acetyl CoA to reproduce ACh again.
